Hello! I am Lyndsay Zappone, your 2024/2025 PTO President! I have enjoyed volunteering for Mesa Academy in many ways over the last three years and took over as PTO President in December of 2023. I truly believe that it takes a village to raise our kids and think volunteering for PTO is an excellent way to make a contribution. I have two children in Mesa Public Schools: Liam (freshman at Red Mountain High School) and Lila (4th grade at Mesa Academy). In my spare time I love yoga, cooking, photography, graphic design, and crafts of any kind. If you see me at an event, come say hello! I love hearing new ideas and feedback for ways to improve the Mesa Academy experience. Go knights!
Hi! My name is Chris Pantier and I am the PTO Vice President and Fundraising chair. I am blessed to be married to my amazing wife Christina for 22 years now. I have 2 amazing girls. Ashley who is living freshmen dorm life in her first year of college at ASU. Alexis is in her second year/5th grade here at Mesa Academy. The greatest achievements of my life have all revolved around kids- being a father, being a teacher, and being able to help this amazing school. When you don’t see me on campus, I can be found deep in a video project working for my company Big AMP Productions (named after the girls). Or you might hear me hosting The Doug Hopkins Flippin’ Real Estate Radio Show Saturday’s at 12noon on 92.3 KTAR. I'm so happy to be able to serve on the board this year and look forward to seeing all we can do together!
My name is Emily Norton and I have a 9th grader at Red Mountain High School and an 8th grader at MAAS. Both my kids started with the school in 4th grade. I have helped with PTO since the 2019-20 school year, and I appreciate how it has given me the chance to meet more parents and teachers, as well as given me a much greater opportunity to participate in the community -which is great for this introvert! I am a native of Montana, and I love the mountains, but don't miss the cold. I work full time as a teacher for ASU Preparatory Academy, but in my spare time, I love being with my family, cooking, doing word puzzles, and reading.
Hello! My name is Brooke Wilson and I am your 2024/2025 PTO secretary. This is my second year on the PTO at Mesa Academy. I love being a part of the PTO and having the ability to be involved with the different events we offer. I am currently an instructional assistant in a Kindergarten classroom at Zaharis Elementary. I have three children. My oldest is 14 and in 9th grade at Red Mountain High School. My middle child is 11 and in 6th grade at Mesa Academy. My youngest is 8 and in the 3rd grade at Zaharis Elementary. I am a Wisconsin native and am happy I switched the snow for the sun when I moved to Arizona. In my spare time I like to bake, sing, hike, craft, play board games with my family and love everything Disney. If you see me at an event please say hello!
We need you! Join our team!
¡Hola! I am Veronica Sandoval, a Spanish Teacher at Mesa Academy and PTO Teacher Liaison. I have taught for over 25 years with a total of 7 years at The Academy. Some of my favorite things to do include date nights with my husband of 22 years, watching shows with my daughter, and cooking with my son. Both of my children aspire to be teachers. My daughter is currently a sophomore at GCU and my son is a sophomore at Red Mtn High School. My son was a student at Mesa Academy from 4th-8th grade. My husband, daughter and I are all Texas natives but Arizona is where we hang our hearts. We love to travel around the country and host our family and friends at our home as much as possible. I enjoy brainstorming and working at events with the PTO. I believe that it takes a village to raise our students and a great way to be part of the village is to work hand-in-hand with our parents and teachers. I graduated from Red Mtn. High School and have enjoyed working in different areas of the district. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about Mesa Academy or Mesa Public Schools.
My name is Sarah Margalis and I will be serving as the Uniform Resale Coordinator for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year. I am the Director of Love of Christ Preschool and the proud mother of two Mesa Academy students. My son Luke, will be in 6th grade this year and my daughter, Anna, is an incoming 4th grader. I have held many PTA positions at our previous school and cannot wait to serve on the PTO at Mesa Academy.
