UNIFORMS

Academy students are expected to dress in a manner that reinforces our mission of excellence and school pride. The intent is to promote an optimal learning environment and a business-casual atmosphere. To accomplish this, the Academy has a uniform dress code.

• The uniform top is a polo — red, white, and navy for all grades, (grades 6-8 may also choose black). The top must have an embroidered Academy crest.
• The uniform bottom includes your choice of pants, shorts, skirts, and/or capris in a solid khaki color. Shorts must have at least a two-inch inseam and extend to the tip of the student’s fingers. Socks and leggings must be a solid Academy color. Footwear must meet classroom safety guidelines. All clothing must be clean and in good repair. Make-up should be non-theatrical in nature and not cause a distraction/disruption.
• All layered clothing (under shirts) must be white only.
• All outerwear such as sweatshirts, sweaters, and jackets must also be a solid Academy color. Academy crests are
  optional.
• Hats and sunglasses may be worn outside only. No other
  articles of clothing are permissible. Academy Knights are expected to be in uniform unless it is a designated “Spirit Day”.
• Optional athletic clothing (black shorts and grey t-shirt) is acceptable during Health and Wellness classes.
• Spirit Days and Free Dress Days are determined by Student Council and approved by the administration. Free Dress Days may not include costume parts nor clothing with holes or tears, including jeans.
• Spirit shirts may be worn in line of the uniform polo on Fridays.
